Ground transportation
Multiple sources cite taxis as the best way to get around Kathmandu, particularly to and from the airport. Taxis in Kathmandu generally do not run a meter, so it is necessary to negotiate cost at the start of the ride, and helpful to have small bills on hand. Ride share services are also available, including Yango, Pathao and inDrive.

Visa Applications

Most international visitors to Nepal can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. You’ll need a valid passport (valid for at least six months prior to travel), and you can fill out the visa application online before you travel to speed up processing once you land. A small number of nationalities must secure a visa in advance from a Nepalese consulate or embassy – check the Nepal Department of Immigration website for further details.
