The Foundry is a non-profit organization based in a previously abandoned Spanish village. It functions both as a residency and as a project space. It subscribes to the ideals of self-organization, and has objectives including organizing activities in the field of the arts, science and humanities outside of traditional institutions, focusing on critical discourse.

From 16 to 29 of October 2022, Pin Biotranslab, Casa do Río and The Foundry ran Eco Logic Queer Energy Harvesting. The event aimed to address the lack of women, queer, trans and diverse communities in technological fields in general and hacking more specifically. The main purpose of the event was to develop kits that focus on interacting with the natural environment and energy systems, through wind turbines. These power kits were intended to be scalable for teaching and application in different contexts. Nine people participated and documented the outcomes via a wiki.
