ERNI is an organization dedicated to making renewable energy technology accessible to lay people and passing on knowledge, so everyone can learn to take their power supply into their own hands. “Diving into open hardware data logging for small wind turbines” was a one-day workshop focused on the question of how to acquire and visualize performance data from small wind turbines. The event took place in the Colorlabor (Kassel, Germany) on May 28th, 2023.

Participants assembled and tested a data logger, with designs made available to the public. Interested participants were invited to join the wind kit project, especially the wind kit datalogger. The organizers plan to hold further wind turbine courses in the future.
