The Service for Inclusive Development is an organization started in Yaoundé, Cameroon in 2016 to promote education, mutual aid and solidarity. Digital electronics for High School students of GBHS Pintchoumba was a four-day workshop with students of GBHS Pintchoumba High School to train fifteen young people and their Physics teachers in the use of Arduino kits. The workshop took place at the end of each day’s classes on May 15th, 16th, 17th & 19th 2023. A secondary aim of the event was to equip the students in the northern Cameroonian community with the skills necessary to execute a successful project using Arduino and digital electronics.

During the workshop, students were able to collect data on the soil humidity from the plants that were planted last November and assess for themselves whether these plants needed water or not. They also used scripts and instructions to modify both the hardware and software of a traffic light device. At the end of the four sessions, the students wanted to thank the workshop organisers in the company of their teacher and delivered very good feedback.
